Shantung silk, or duppioni silk is made of the duppion silk yarn, that is from the cocoon of two silk worms that have nested together. When spinning, the double strand is not separated so the yarn is uneven and irregular with a large diameter in places, The duppioni is very irregular and shows many slubs. We can supply the piece dyed, sand washed, and also the yarn-dyed woven. Usage: garments, home textiles.
